Peer Review Process
Veritas: Jurnal Penalaran dan Riset Mahasiswa Pendidikan is committed to the highest standards of quality and academic integrity. To ensure objectivity and eliminate bias, the journal employs a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process for all submitted manuscripts.

1. The Double-Blind Mechanism
In this process, the identities of the reviewers and the authors are mutually concealed.
-
The Reviewers do not know the names or affiliations of the authors.
-
The Authors do not know who reviewed their manuscript. This anonymity ensures that the manuscript is evaluated solely on its intellectual merit, methodology, and contribution to the field of education, without influence from the author's reputation, institution, gender, or nationality.
2. Initial Screening (Desk Review)
Before being sent to reviewers, every manuscript is screened by the Editor to ensure:
-
Compliance with the Focus and Scope of the journal.
-
Adherence to the Author Guidelines and Template.
-
Anonymity check: Ensuring no author details are present in the main manuscript file.
-
Plagiarism check: Similarity index must be <25%. Manuscripts failing this stage are rejected immediately (Desk Rejection).
3. Reviewer Assignment & Evaluation
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two (2) independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
-
Scientific originality and novelty.
-
Methodological rigor (validity and reliability).
-
Theoretical depth and coherence of reasoning.
-
Clarity of presentation and language.
4. Decision Making
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
-
Accept Submission: Published without changes.
-
Revisions Required: Accepted pending minor changes.
-
Resubmit for Review: Requires major revisions and re-evaluation.
-
Decline Submission: Rejected due to significant flaws.
