Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Insight: Journal of Counseling and Psychology undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of each article.

Every submission will first be screened by the editorial team to evaluate its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these initial criteria will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the related field.

The review process typically involves:

Initial Screening: The editor checks the manuscript for relevance, quality, and plagiarism.

Double-Blind Review: Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the review process.

Reviewer Evaluation: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its scientific quality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field of counseling and psychology.

Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide to:

Accept the manuscript as is,

Request minor or major revisions, or

Reject the manuscript.

Revision Process: Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments and resubmit their revised manuscripts within the given timeframe.

The final decision for publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ feedback and the quality of the revisions.

Insight: Journal of Counseling and Psychology publishes articles three times a year — in February, June, and October — and strives to ensure a fair, transparent, and timely review process.
